Since 1980, Professor Alberto has completed more than 10,000 cases of pancreaticobiliary endoscopic surgery, and the number of operations ranks among the forefront of oral fundoplication for gastroesophageal reflux disease in Europe.
His research areas focus on prevention of pancreatitis after ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography), endoscopic treatment of acute recurrent pancreatitis, advanced digestive endoscopic imaging technology, endovascular surgery oral fundoplication for gastroesophageal reflux disease.
