2024年10月27日至10月30日，北京协和医院院长张抒扬率代表团赴英国开展学术合作交流。访问期间，张抒扬院长一行在圆和医疗副总裁Anna的陪同下，与英国圆和Circle Health集团签署战略合作协议。此次出访不仅加深了北京协和医院与英国医疗机构的合作关系，也为双方在医疗领域的进一步合作奠定了坚实的基础。
From October 27th to 30th, 2024, a delegation from Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH) led by Zhang Shuyang, the president of PUMCH, visited the UK for academic cooperation and discussion. During the visit, accompanied by Anna, Vice President of Circle Health, the delegation signed a strategic cooperation agreement with UK Circle Health. This visit not only deepened the cooperative relationship between PUMCH and British medical institutions, but also laid a solid foundation for further cooperation between the two parties in the medical field.

10月30日，张抒扬院长与英国圆和Circle Health集团首席执行官Paolo Pieri先生分别代表双方签署了战略合作协议。根据协议，双方将在临床服务、医疗数字化、机器人辅助手术、罕见病管理等领域开展广泛合作，共同推动医疗技术和管理模式的创新。
From October 27th to 30th, 2024, a delegation from Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH) led by Zhang Shuyang, the president of PUMCH, visited the UK for academic cooperation and discussion. UK Circle Health, one of the UK's largest private hospital groups, was awarded the title of Best Private Hospital Group of 2022 for its efficient management system and innovative service model. The group owns several high-end private hospitals and is a leader in the UK healthcare sector due to its excellent patient services and innovative medical service models. This strategic cooperation agreement with PUMCH lays a solid foundation for more in-depth cooperation in the future; at the same time, it also establishes an important platform for collaboration between the two countries in cutting-edge medical technologies and service innovation, jointly promoting innovation in medical technology and management models.

At the signing ceremony, President Zhang stated, “In recent years, we have actively collaborated with Circle Health Group across multiple disciplines, engaging in frequent academic exchanges and continuously working towards deepening our strategic partnership to achieve mutual benefit. PUMCH, as one of China's top medical institutions, has always been committed to the diagnosis and treatment of complex, severe, and rare diseases, and is a designated diagnosis and treatment guidance center by the National Health Commission. Furthermore, PUMCH is a national medical center and one of the first pilot hospitals for high-quality development of public hospitals nationwide. It has been continuously exploring new fields and establishing new models, while also striving to expanding the amount, lowering the access difficulty, while also improving the quality of medical resources, in order to improve patients' medical experience. Health is a common pursuit of humanity, and jointly safeguarding human health and a bright future is a shared vision of global healthcare institutions. The strategic cooperation agreement we signed today not only represents a new starting point for cooperation between PUMCH and Circle Health Group, but also a new milestone in the development of our relationship. Looking to the future, we look forward to working hand in hand with Circle Health Group to explore new paths of cooperation and contribute to the global healthcare cause.”

During the signing ceremony, Mr. Pieri also expressed his deep impression of his previous trip to Beijing and his appreciation for China's healthcare system. Mr. Pieri further emphasized Circle Health Group's commitment to cooperation with Chinese healthcare institutions and its expectation to jointly promote innovation in medical technology and management models.

此外，张抒扬院长还在10月27日，代表北京协和医院与大奥蒙德街儿童医院（GOSH）签署谅解备忘录。GOSH作为全球最佳儿科医院之一，拥有全球最大的儿童心脏移植中心、欧洲最大的儿童癌症/白血病治疗中心，以及全球领先的罕见病研究中心。根据谅解备忘录，双方将聚焦罕见病和恶性肿瘤前沿诊疗技术、医学教育、护理培训、医院管理等领域展开全方位合作，进一步巩固双方多年来的合作成果，并为中英两国在医疗卫生领域深化合作关系、拓展合作领域开辟了新路径。
Furthermore, on October 27th, President Zhang represented PUMCH and signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital (GOSH). GOSH, one of the world's best pediatric hospitals, boasts the world's largest pediatric heart transplant center, Europe's largest pediatric cancer/leukemia treatment center, and a leading global rare disease research center. According to the Memorandum of Understanding, both parties will focus on comprehensive cooperation in areas such as cutting-edge diagnosis and treatment technologies for rare diseases and malignant tumors, medical education, nursing training, and hospital management. This will further consolidate the achievements of their long-standing cooperation and open new avenues for deepening and expanding cooperation between China and the UK in the field of healthcare.

Through this collaboration, both parties will jointly integrate resources, innovate and improve high-quality medical services, deepen cooperation in cutting-edge medical technologies, and cultivate more globally-leading, multi-skilled medical professionals.
